Roundabout Works – Catterick Road
Lumsden & Carroll are carrying out construction works to form a new roundabout on Catterick Road on behalf of Miller Homes Teesside.
On Monday 2nd June, we plan to close Catterick Road in both directions, overnight, for 9 working nights, from 8pm till 6am, finishing on the night of Thursday 12th June.
The road needs to be fully closed for several reasons, mainly safety, to allow a safe working space for multiple large plant and operatives. To allow us to complete the surfacing and white lining phase correctly, access to the whole roundabout and connecting roads must be fully available to us, as it is impossible for us to construct and surface to correct lane widths safely, while keeping one lane open to running traffic.
During the nighttime closures, a traffic diversion will be in place (as attached) but access for any emergency services will be made available, as well as any large farming or service vehicles towards Brough Park (unable to use the weak and narrow bridge). Outside of the nighttime closures, Catterick Road will be open, and we hope to be able to use the new roundabout as normal, including access to Brough Park.
We apologise for this inconvenience and will endeavour to keep interruption to a minimum.
