Mayor of Colburn at the Lazer Cheer Academy

Cllr Michelle Dunning the Mayor of Colburn was kindly invited to watch the Lazer Cheer Academy before they set off to Dallas Texas for the NCA All Star Championships.

On Sunday 23rd February I was invited to attend a showcase at Lazer Cheer Academy, which is situated at the Walkerville industrial estate here in Colburn.

17 Athletes from their Cheerleading club have been given the opportunity to compete at The

NCA All-Star National Championships in Dallas, Texas. This is among the top 3 mid-season national events in the United States and the competition welcomes over 25,000 athletes across one weekend.

It was absolutely amazing to see the talented athletes performing one of their routines before they fly to the USA. I was in awe watching them and could tell a lot of hard work and dedication goes into it all.

I would like to wish them good luck on their journey to The NCA National Championships and can't wait to watch their journey.
